When you rinse, the Toilet Flush Cistern must be automatically refilled from a side tap and the refill operation must last long enough to fill the tank without spilling it. Some water is always trapped in a large elbow at the bottom of the toilet, called the S-trap. This little bit of water effectively seals the sewer line below it, preventing bacteria and unpleasant smells from entering your bathroom. S-bend also means that the pipe coming out of the toilet is bent upwards and then bent down again. This means that as water flows from the tank into the tank and exits through the hose, it has sufficient momentum to create a siphon effect to properly empty the tank. Toilet Flush Cistern is equipped with a water supply pipe through a float valve located in the water tank. At each flush, the float drops to a reduced water level, opening the valve and allowing the tank to refill. When the water level in the Toilet Flush Cistern reaches a preset level, the float valve closes and the flushing system is ready for use again.
